Step into the holiday spirit with the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center🌲 Join us for a Pre-Holiday Hike at Oso Flaco Lake on Saturday, 12/23/23 at 9:00 am. Embrace the beauty of nature, breathe in the crisp air, and enjoy a festive adventure with like-minded nature enthusiasts. Don't miss out on this joyful journey! 🚶♀️🌳
This hike is sponsored by The Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center and will be led by Ray Segovia. The hike will begin at 9:00am (please plan to arrive between about 10-15 minutes early). It will be a casual/moderate walk through the dunes with some elevation gain of 300 ft, to the Chumash Shell Midden which is about 2.5-3 hours round-trip. We suggest you dress in layers and bring water and snacks. Closed-toed shoes are recommended as the habitat is coastal dune scrub and there is the possibility of poison oak and ticks in the natural dune areas.
