Lead nature walks and hikes in the dunes for private groups or the general public.

Greet visitors, guide museum tours and update signage for upcoming events and organizational updates. Assist in museum artifact management and interpretation, carrying the legacy of the central coast to visitors and locals alike.

Lead afterschool and/or summer education programs as an Education Intern or assist interns as a high school intern. Participate in our afterschool Hike Club! By hiking with our students you can inspire the next generation of Dune Advocates. Provide environmental education and public outreach at community events. Share natural history knowledge with the general public at our Education Stations.

Work in our native plant garden weeding, pruning, and planting. Volunteer at community service events in the dunes, such as ice-plant removals, native seed collections, and beach clean ups.

Help with the planning and execution of Dunes Center special events, including the Coreopsis Cup Golf Tournament, and Trees of the Season Gala.

Provide office support by answering phones, filing documents, managing mailings, performing light cleaning, and other special projects.
