Description: Black Nightshade is a perennial herb or subshrub approaching two meters in maximum height. The leaves are egg-shaped, some with no teeth on the margins, others with. The flower petals are fused into a unit but are deeply lobed and white with green spots at the base. The stem is coated in short, white hairs. This plant flowers most of the year. The fruit is a spherical berry that turns black at maturity. The berries and other parts of this plant are poisonous.
