Join us Saturday, September 9 at 9:00 AM for a docent-led hike with the Dunes Center Community Hike Leader, Ray Segovia! Ray will lead hikers to the ridge overlooking Point Sal. Beautiful wildlife, flora, and stunning views of the northern Santa Barbara coastline await those attending.
Point Sal Overlook is perfect for hikers ready for a challenge. The trail is rated as moderately strenuous with an elevation gain of approximately 700 feet from the beginning of the trail head to the highest point on the ridge.
Dress in layers, bring water and snacks. Long pants and closed shoes are recommended. For more information, email us today. This will be a dog-friendly hike, please feel free to bring along your furry friend. No restrooms on site.
We will be limiting the number of people attending this hike and parking is limited, please register early! Heavy rain cancels this trip (light rain, bring appropriate clothing).
The hike will start promptly at 9 AM and will last approx. three to four hours, depending on the pace of the group.
If you are a botanist, or a plant lover, please join us in identifying both native and invasive species along our hikes, email us today for more information!
