Welcome to Guadalupe Speaks, California Stories

The Participants:

Our primary strength has been the enthusiastic involvement of the Guadalupe Speaks Advisory Council members representing all of the major organizations in the community, plus universities and the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission. In addition, the project has very strong support from the Guadalupe city council members.

More than 30 individuals have contributed as Advisory Council members. Monthly meetings brought together participants representing 28 organizations including 3 Departments at Cal Poly University (Ethnic Studies, University Library Archives, and Tourism/Resource Management), UCSB Arts and Lectures Department, Santa Barbara County Supervisor District, Guadalupe Educational Technology Association (GETA): a community computer lab, Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts at Allan Hancock College, the Dunes Center, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Guadalupe City Council.
