XanaDune!
XanaDune! is our core “in the classroom” and out on the trail programming for elementary and middle
schools students. XanaDune! has also been shown to be highly effective for special needs groups of all
ages. For the classroom visits, education specialists from the Dunes Center bring “hands-on” natural
science activities to your classroom. These 50 minute programs give students a chance to investigate
topics such as Mammals, Birds, Water Science, Plant and Aquatic Life; all centered on life in the dunes.
Then, continue your education experience with a XanaDune! field trip to Oso Flaco Lake.
Oso Flaco Lake Field Trips
Treat your students (and yourself!) to a four hour field trip to Oso Flaco Lake. This trip includes:
Botany Scavenger Hunt

These field trips are extremely popular and fill up fast. Make reservations early! For more information on
these and other programs available, contact Tom Neuman at 805-473-9400 or email tom@wildware.net Or
contact the Dunes Center at 805-343-2455 for more information. To find out more, click on the XanaDune link!
